Legacy of Light by Karen Zacarías is a play that weaves together two parallel stories—one set in the 18th century and the other in the present day. It follows Émilie Du Châtelet, a pioneering female scientist who struggles against societal and gender barriers to pursue her passion for astronomy. In the present, Olivia uncovers a scientific legacy that challenges her own personal and family struggles. The play explores themes of gender, scientific discovery, family, and legacy, highlighting the challenges women face in both history and modern times.
